Regular school hours are 8:15 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. for Kindergarten through 8th Grade. School is dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays for Faculty In-Service.

Stella Maris Academy Graduation 2008

SMA Graduates Students of Distinction

 

Stella Maris Academy graduated its 61st eighth grade class on Friday, June 6th.  All 27 members of the Class of 2008 attained excellence as evidenced by each receiving admission to the high school of their choice, many of the Academy’s newest alumnae earned awards for their academic distinction.

Led by valedictorian, Ian Dillingham, who also received distinction in Advanced Math, Algebra and Literature, and salutatorian Camille Johansen, who as Student Council President achieved distinction in Social Studies, the following eighth grade students received awards selected by eighth grade teacher, Mr. Mike Erickson:

Molly Patton, Math; Samantha Carman, Language Arts and Girl Athlete, along with receiving Honors at Entrance from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace; Mariana Morales, Spanish; J. Conrad McGarry, Computer Science; Dale Bass, Music, Brienna Avila, Art; Luis Ortega, Boy’s P.E.; Jarron Helbock, Boy Athlete; Dominic Thomas received an award as the Student Council Vice President, and Dominic Vetuschi received the Saint Augustine Award. 

Students receiving Honors at Entrance for Cathedral Catholic High School were Ian Dillingham, Camille Johansen and Eugene Vivino.  Receiving Honors at Entrance for Saint Augustine High School were Patrick Bones and Conrad McGarry.  Sinead Horgan earned an award for Religion, and Girl’s P.E., along with receiving the coveted Principal’s Award selected by Stella Maris Academy Principal, Patricia Lowell.
